Christmas Playlist

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because it nearly is!! Christmas is just around the corner and to say the least I am so extremely happy for it to be finally here. I have to wait for this the whole year. But anyways today’s blog post is going to be a Christmas playlist involving books. So, on Spotify, I have a Christmas playlist and each song I’m going to match it up with a certain book.

  1. All I Want for Christmas – Mariah Carey.

The book that I am matching this song to is the one and only Geekerella by Ashley Poston.  I chose this book because all Darien wants to find out his who is he mysteriously texting, but also who he fell in love with. So, all Darien really wants for Christmas is Elle.

  1. Last Christmas – Wham!

I have chosen Paper Towns by John Green because Quentin Jacob is in love with Margo Ruth Spiegelman, but his heart is broken by the end of the book. Meaning his whole quest to find her was for nothing.

  1. Jingle Bell Rock

For this song, I have chosen Girl Online by Zoe Sugg because this book is a whirlwind of heartwarming moments, photography and the best friend anyone can ask for. But mostly it makes me smile just like whenever I hear this song.

  1. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – Michael Bluble

The book I chose for this song is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart this seems like an unusual chose but I chose it because all her family act all smiles and are pretending to be happy.  Like on Christmas everyone is happy. I don’t really know why I chose this book, but I did because I feel like the book and the song are similar in a way yet starkly different.

  1. Baby, it’s Cold Outside – Idina Menzel and Michael Bluble

I chose the book A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Mass I chose this book because Rhysand really wanted Freye to stay even if he didn’t show it, and in the end, she ended up staying just like in the song. Plus, it can get cold in the Night Court.

  1. Please Come Home for Christmas – Eagles

I chose Tales from A Shadow Hunters Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, Robin Wasserman. I chose this book because all through the book everyone wanted Simon to remember and to come home, especially Izzy.  Just like the lyrics in the song except that the song wants them to come home for Christmas, whereas the shadow hunters just want Simon back.

So, that was my last song because if I did all my songs on my playlist we would be here forever. Hope you have a holly jolly Christmas.
