Midyear Craze

So, today {1st of July} is the middle of the year and I thought why not do an update of what I have liked this year and what I am excited for in the up and coming months. So far, this year I would like to say that I have read a lot of books, but with school work getting in the way it has only been a little amount this year but I do plan to get more books read by the end of school holidays, hope you guys enjoy;

  1. So, one of the book series that I finished this year was The Mortal Instruments, also The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare– I know that I’m late reading these books and that 2/3 of The Dark Artifices are out but I can’t help but take my time and really enjoy reading these books because I do have time seeing as the last book in The Dark Artifices is coming out in 2019. But TMI and TID are amazing books and if you haven’t read them you should check them out, because I can promise you that you won’t get bored.
  2. Another book that I have read this year well I re-read it and that is the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and to say the lest it is fantastic. I’m not going to go on any further because if you would like to read my recommendation blog post it has everything you need to know about it in there.click here for Percy Jackson review
  3. So, this book I read in school for English and I absolutely loved it, even though it is categorised as child literature I think anyone can read this book. The book is Hitler’s Daughter by Jackie French. This book is a historical fiction as it does tell a story about if Hitler did have a daughter but the way that Jackie French forms her sentences is just entertaining to read, definitely go check this book out if you are interested in World War II.
  4. A Tv-show that has recently started is Shadowhunters and I know that I have already talked about Cassandra Clare’s books above but this is the adaptation for The Mortal Instruments. And there could be a few things I would change but other than that it is an enjoyable show to watch. They do change some things from the books including how MALEC interact but I think it is still a good show. I’m MALEC all the way, they are so cute.

So now is the part for what I’m looking forward to in the next 6 months and they are-

  1. The new Spiderman movie which is coming out NEXT WEEK!! I can’t wait to go and see that, it looks amazing. 😊
  2. Another thing that I am really looking forward to is Turtles All The Way Down by John Green which is being released on the 10th of October 2017. This book is about a 16 year old girl who is dealing with a mental illness, but the reason that I really want to read this is because John Green dealed with this mental illness and he is writing about his experience in a way through this character. Can’t wait for this book, John Green books are just fantastic books to read that challenge you to think.
  3. This book is also expected to release in October but on the 3rd and this is Magnus Chase and The Ship of The Dead by Rick Riordan. This is the 3rd book in the Magnus Chase series following The Sword of Summer {also known as Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard}, and The Hammer of Thor. This series is about a boy named Magnus Chase and Norse mythology which is Thor and Loki. I’m excited to read this as I know that Rick Riordan doesn’t disappoint.
  4. The last book that is really exciting is Wonder Woman- Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo. The movie Wonder Woman has been released {I am yet to see it ☹} but Leigh Bardugo is an amazing author and I can’t wait to get my hands on this. It is expected to release in 2017 that is all the information we have for the release date.
