Top Five Favourite Quotes

So I was thinking of a blog post to do while scrolling through Instagram (BookishBlog4) and all these bookish quotes were being posted recently, and I thought to write a blog post about my all time favourite quotes from author’s and books. It was very hard to narrow it down to five as some author have a special way with words. So here is my top five all time favourite quotes;

1. “One must always be careful with books, and what is inside them for words have the power to change us”

  • Tessa Gray {The Inferal Devices -#1 Clockwork Angel}

This text is powerful in its own way. I just love the way Cassandra Clare makes her words flow and go together like books and tea. Do anyone of you guys feel the same? This quote makes me really consider the power of words. For example Hitler was an amazing speaker he had a way with his words but of course he had some mental issues, what I’m trying to get at is that he got all his followers because of the way he spoke with the words that convinced many. Words have the power to change our perspective on anything.

2. “It was books that made me feel like I wasn’t completely alone.”

  • William Herondale {The Infernal Devices- #2 Clockwork Prince}

I am in love with this quote, sometimes I feel that none of my friends understand what I’m talking about as they are not big readers like me, but I realise that there is a whole community of people out there that are just like me. A world of books that I can always read. It’s amazing how books surround can you in your own little world.

3. “Books and cleverness there are more important things- friendship and bravery.”

  •  Hermione Granger {Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone}

I absolutely adore this quote, it shows the main qualities of the Gryffindor House (friendship and bravery). But it also shows that our heroes can be vulnerable and yet they can push past this to get the job done. JK Rowling is an amazing author and the Harry Potter series is an all time favourite. I could  pick my top five favoutite quotes from the Harry Potter series alone, the way Rowling has written her novels she portrays a power that not many authors can execute so well.

4. “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one remembers to turn on the light.”

  • Albus Dumbledore {Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban}

This quotes gives me this rush of motivation, one that can and will allow me to continue. One that allows me realise that there is always going to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and that good times often comes from bad times. But the way in which Michael Gambon spoke the text in the production of the movies was sensational, and as I’m sure we can all agree that Albus Dumbledore is one very wise wizard.

5. “When I saw you, I fell in love, and smiled because you knew”

  • William Shakespeare {Romeo & Juliet}

This quote often represents me at times, normally its just as I walk into the book store and see all the glorious books waiting to be read by someone. You can fall in love with a book straight away just because the cover is amazing (even though you should never judge a book by it’s cover), or just the single fact that your all time favourite author blurbed it, or even the simple fact that synopsis is amazing and you just cannot wait to read it. Leave me a comment bellow if you have ever have fallen in love with a book, and why because i would love to know what your ‘All time Favourite’ book quote/s are.
